IWPR in Iraq: Yezidi “Honour Killing” and Complex Tribal Relationships

The Institute for War and Peace Reporting has posted a report on the tragic stoning to death of a 17 year old girl, as mentioned previously on this blog.  Normally I would dissect the article, but in this instance it is important for anyone who would like to understand tribal relationship within northern Iraq to read the whole piece.

  1. I agree with you that the IWPR piece is the most through writing in English on Du’a Khalil: but there are many more at stophonourkillings.com, including some activism possibilities.

  2. Thank you for the link, I will have a look.
