The Blair era captured in spin doctor’s memoirs

Tony Blair’s former press czar, Alastair Campbell, has released his memoirs today. Campbell was notable for his influence on the Blair government almost until 2003. His book: “The Blair Years” apparently fetched close to £1 million from publisher Random House. The BBC has highlighted some interesting points to the book:

Bush to Blair before the Commons debate to go into Iraq: “If you win the vote in Parliament, I’ll kiss your ass.”‘

Campbell on Blair about the September 11th Attacks: “He’d been going on about Bin Laden for a while because there had been so much intelligence about him and al-Qaeda.”
