Ann Coulter and Nancy Grace — are there male equivalents?

Are there any male equivalents to Ann Coulter and Nancy Grace?

I’ve been wondering this for years. Or is their unique blend of ‘femininity’ and caustic imbecilities a whole new schtick we haven’t yet figured out?

I know they aren’t cut from exactly the same clothe but first and foremost both imperil logic using their femininity, which they use, at once, as a bludgeon and a defence mechanism.

In trying to understand them it may be useful to find a male equivalent. Of course, if there is a male equivalent that would entirely invalidate my analysis, if there isn’t a male equivalent then …

Andrew Sullivan? Does that support or refute your shallow, sexist judgement? Do you have more ‘proof’ that this unique blend of ‘femininity’ and caustic imbecilities is a typically female schtick?

Another theory to “develop”: Rush Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly - are there non-Caucasian equivalents?

Most of the msm male pundits I make the occasional mistake of listening to certainly use macho swagger not only as a weapon but as an argument. In fact that seems to be the only argument they and the Bush administration have — we’re tough guys.

The media and North American politics are saturated in macho jerkiness. Why would some people not notice that? Ooh, I dunno … *whistles*

If anything, Coulter and Grace are unique only because they’re women. Most male pundits (including but not limited to male right-wing pundits - skdadl and deBeauxOs have already named names) causticly imbecilic.

Sure Rush and Bill are iconic for an entire rapture of MSM bullies but they are essentially brow-beating.

These women are working at a much more sophisticated level: they are impregnable because they ARE women and they use that skillfully to operate, at the same time, on a comparatively astral plain AND under the radar.

When Coulter characterized the wives of those who died in 9/11 as … well, you remember, she entered a stratosphere of comment where no male would dare to go. I mean ‘nappy-headed’ is a pedestrian insult; ’self-serving harpies’ well, that deals with emotions that to most (me included) are incomprehensible.

No, I think you folk should do a little re-think. These two aren’t the female equivalent of Rush and Bill, no, no, these two are operating at an entirely different level. But, Watson, what is it?

Or maybe it just looks that way because we aren’t used to hearing such insensitivities from women….

I did not propose O’reilly and Limbaugh as the male equivalent to Coulter and Grace. If the quality you are avoiding naming rhymes with twitchy, then Andrew Sullivan is your man.

Coulter and Grace are bullies in hoop-skirts, they use gendered ‘feminine wiles’ as a weapon to savage women AND men who do not share their self-centered Kristian Konservative Krazy world view. Margaret Thatcher was reknowned for her steel hand in lace glove approach.

“We folk” hear this essentialist garbage all the time from fetus-fetishizers and pop phychologists like the Venus & Mars guy. It gets tiresome. It is the equivalent of white vaudeville performers in whiteface. It is a ruse and a dramatic device to befuddle the opponent.

Utah mine has medics dispatched to retrieve more victims Thursday late evening. A simple solution to this dilemma. Have CNN mandate Nancy Grace out of her in-patient psych-hospital right now, and place Nancy down in the Utah mine with a lengthy written-script to read. Direct her mouth towards the areas where they need removal of coal and timbers, and by having Nancy speak, it will generate enough hot air to help cause the coal to incinerate and disappear, and will then allow passage by some rescue-miners to help finally locate some of the missing miners. Get a court-order if necessary to get Nancy back out of her psych-hospital in an effort to have Nancy released from her Houston psych-hospital and get her mouth finally working for victims for a change. While it would truly be the first time Nancy Grace has ever affected a positive change for any victim, but at least it is a start.

Excellent idea.

I’m thinking afterward she can have an exceptional career in hot air ballooning. Perhaps she, Coulter, Rush, Glenn Beck and the Fox News crowd can have a race.

Suggestion to help save the trapped Utah miners.
The Utah mine disaster has turned into a monumental problem to rescue trapped miners. A simple solution to this dilemma: Have CNN mandate Nancy Grace out of her in-patient psych-hospital right now, and place Nancy down in the Utah mine with a lengthy written-script for her to read out-loud. Direct her mouth towards the areas where they need removal of coal, support beams, and timbers, and by having Nancy speak out loud, it will generate enough hot air to help cause the coal and beams to incinerate and disappear, and will then allow passage by some rescue-miners to help finally locate some of the missing miners. Get a court-order if necessary to get Nancy back out of her Houston psych-hospital, and get her mouth finally working for victims for a change. While it would truly be the first time Nancy Grace would have ever affected a positive change for any victim, at least it is a start. Apparently, her doctors have objected thus far to all efforts to have Nancy released early from her psych-ward. But, there remains victims that are in need of some monumental volumes of hot air, and Nancy has proven she can generate that volume of hot-air needed to incinerate everything in her path. Victims lives are at stake, the doctors need to release Nancy right now and have her travel with a doctor to prevent Nancy from drinking herself into another fall like she just did again weeks ago. Nancy really should stop her alcoholic and non-stop drinking, especially if she is pregnant as she claims right now. She certainly comes across as the drunk she actually is.

This is humor?

Late on Saturday night, December 8th, a Fox show named “The Soup” had a segment where they really bashed Nancy for just being Nancy. The worst jab was when the news broadcaster laughed at Nancy for “naturally getting pregnant at age 60.” In all due respect to that show, Nancy is way too old to have kids at this late-stage in her life. Those kids will still be in high-school when Nancy is at the age-of-retirement. That, alone, is child-abuse in and of itself. What a stupid reason for Nancy to have kids just to get a tax-credit. Plus, her name is not legally Nancy Grace anyways. That must be her planned-defense in some of her upcoming lawsuits against her for her for crimes including the documented unprofessional and illegal conduct against a mother of a missing young child. Nancy must plan to say on the stand “You can’t sue me, I am not Nancy Grace, I got married and changed my name. You have the wrong person here.”
