The Rapture: watch the unbelievable video

(Quick-jump: see the video here.)

One of the principle motivations of the US foreign policy that backs every Israeli move, no matter how morally bankrupt, is the pathological belief by many evangelical Americans that all of Palestine must be incorporated into a greater Israel, that’s the only way the Rapture can happen.

And what’s the Rapture? This, according to this Wikipedia explanation —

“its  the name given to the event in which they believe Jesus Christ will descend from Heaven, accompanied by the spirits of all the saints who have passed on prior to this event, and then the bodily remains of these saints will be transported from the earth to meet the Lord and be rejoined with their corresponding spirits in the air. Immediately after this, all Christians alive on the earth are simultaneously transported to meet the Lord and those who have preceded them in the air. All are transformed into immortal bodies like Jesus’ body, often referred to as the “resurrection body.”

But what happens after the Rapture? Though I couldn’t find it in the Wikipedia explanation, I got it here.

Most Fundamentalist and other conservative Christians believe that The Rapture will occur when Christ first returns towards earth. Most believe that Christ will not actually land or stay on earth at this time; the “real” second coming will occur later, when he returns on a horse leading an army on horseback who will exterminate one third of the earth’s population in a massive genocide. It will be numerically the largest mass extermination of humans in history. In terms of the percentage of humans to be killed in a genocide, it will be second only to the flood of Noah.

The Rapture is an inspiration for many US Evangelicals who want it to happen ASAP because as true believers their ascendance into heaven is guaranteed. That’s why they’ve banded together for Christians United for Israel Tour.

To see some of these True Believers in action go to this Max Blumenthal site (above) at Huffington Post and watch the video. It is … well, truly un-believable.

And it’s barely believable to see Joe Liberman as a spokesman. Doesn’t he realize that as a Jew, he is toast once the Rapture happens?

  2. thanx for info

  3. I am a Christian who believes there will be a rapture of the Christians just before it gets really ugly here on Earth. Which is why Christians make an effort to tell other people (especially their family and friends, but also total strangers)about our Saviour. When it happens, the media and other, obviously unsaved, people who are left behind, will concoct a story to explain why all these millions of people disappeared; probably something about a massive alien abductions of non-cooperative people or the like.

Also, pertaining to your comment about the Jews being toast, that’s not true. The Jews are Yahweh’s chosen people and will be supernaturally protected during this time. The main point of the rapture is to give the people what they want (no God to rule over them) and allow them to experience what the natural consequences of that will be. The first 3 1/2 years of this period will be devastation brought on by man, not Yahweh. The last 33 1/2 years will be Yahweh’s wrath poured out on the world. The result of this is that many people, and particularly Jewish people will realize the truth of the Bible, and be saved (not saved out of hard times, but their souls saved for eternity in Heave with Yahweh.

Which is why you should read it with an open mind to see if it’s true or not. If you are interested in knowing the truth, and not just belittling Christians & the Bible, I recommend going to http://www.khouse.org; Chuck Missler is one of the 2 best Bible teachers I’ve ever heard.

    Sincerely,

    Sandra

  4. Oops, my keyboard keys stick sometimes. Change the 33 1/2 years to 3 1/2 years, for a total of 7 years. Sorry about that.
