Now Rummy thought at the Hoover

The wholly dysfunctional US foreign policy, which these days screws up everything it touches, may not be George Bush’s fault. It may be the fault of the think tanks.

Take the news today that retired (and disgraced) former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld (is) headed to Hoover Institution, a conservative think tank. That ought to send up warning flags and so should this …

“I have asked Don to join the distinguished group of scholars that will pursue new insights on the direction of thinking that the United States might consider going forward,” said John Raisian, the institution’s director.

Does the world really need more Rummy thought? Especially in the form of a think tank.

Of course, we have a bit of a thing about think tanks: Pssst. Wanna start a Think Tank?
