Bush says health care coverage for 4 million kids is “irresponsible”

A Democratic initiative to give 4 million kids health care is called “irresponsible” by Bush who will veto the bill which is estimated to cost $7 billion a year.

Irresponsible? Irresponsible is a health care system that leaves 47 million people, many of them kids, with out coverage and many others with inadequate coverage. See Kids’ health care will get vetoed.

In the US, the end justifies the means only when the end gives a fat profit to a lobby-rich corporation. When the end is simply better security for the people is is scoffed at as a tax and spend boondoggle.

But Bush has promised a veto, saying the measure is too costly, unacceptably raises taxes, extends government-covered insurance to children in families who can afford private coverage, and smacks of a move toward completely federalized health care. He has asked Congress to pass a simple extension of the current program while debate continues, saying it’s children who will suffer if they do not.

Bush should spend more time in northern Europe where Scandinavia, puts people first. Not profits.

  1. Scandinavia’s country are Socialist, and the Socialism is not possible in America… The better you can is to vote Democratics!
    Greetings from Italy!

  2. Has Geo approved anything the Democrats have given him since they ‘took over congress’? I can’t recall. I think Geo is in permanent veto mode for his lame duck.
