Blackwater not chosen to protect its FBI investigators

That FBI team deployed from Washington to assist the State Department in the investigation of the alleged Blackwater slaughter of from 11 to 17 Iraqis will not be protected by … Blackwater.

Why not? “”To avoid even the appearance of any conflict,” said FBI spokesman John Miller.

Wow, how edified, how prudent. Imagine, the accused isn’t going to protect the prosecutors of the accused.

How laughable, as if any one would even consider those optics. But to pass them off as the avoidance “of any conflict” is absurd. It would most clearly have been a conflict had Blackwater been chosen as the security firm for the job.

The pathetic story is here: Blackwater won’t guard FBI in Iraq shooting probe.
