Organ donation: what do the fundamentalists say?

Is organ donation a ‘Christian Duty?’ The Anglican church in England thinks so.

Body parts should not be mistaken for the person themselves, and the best way to treat them reverently is to use them to heal others, said the Church which would welcome the creation of a European donor pool.

“Giving oneself and one’s possessions voluntarily for the well-being of others and without compulsion is a Christian duty.”

How will this go over in North America?

One wonders what the fundamentalist churches in the US and Canada are thinking about this issue. Surely, there is something in the Bible somewhere that admonishes against the gift of body parts. Can’t wait to hear them wiggle with this.

The BBC article is here: Organ donation a ‘Christian duty.’
