I did not think he would lose me so soon

I did not think he would lose me so soon — sooner than Bill Clinton did.

Like many people, I was deeply invested in the success of our first African-American president. I had written op-ed pieces and articles to support him in The New York Times and The New York Review of Books. My wife and I had maxed out in donations for him. Our children had been ardent for his cause.— Gary Wills

Wills’ sadness is palpable and it is a sadness shared by many around the world.

  1. I feel for your pain regarding the anti Christ administration.
But, does that make you a ‘racist’ like it made me & half the nation one, due to viscious attacks, b/c we saw this imposter for what he was?

I hate to be rude, but really, you people that voted Obama have put us people that didnt vote for him through hell. Being called ‘racists’, haters’, etc.. I am not a republican, but didnt the republicans put Condi Rice, Mike Steele, Colin Powell in their admins?

I do feel for you being let down, I do. But the pain I feel from fellow Americans who have been disgusting has been hard to bear.

BTW: Islam is very real. I am a NYer, I was there.
